darjeelingtea.net is a growing resource of technical, historical and cultural interest. The site focusses on the teas of the Darjeeling District of West Bengal in India. Documents are gradually being compiled to cover the many facets of the botany, history and chemistry of Darjeeling’s teas. The technicalities of production, preparation and tasting are examined in depth. Kevin Gascoyne, when not in Darjeeling, hosts various educational presentations on the cultivation, production, and tasting of Darjeeling Tea. He runs a small mail order tea company and is currently writing for the gourmet quarterly The Art of Eating. All texts and photos are his work unless otherwise credited.
